Bronchitis

DESCRIPTION

An Inflammation of the bronchial tubes, bronchitis causes passages to become progressively more clogged, intensifying irritation. This causes a productive Cough, characteristic to bronchitis. Smokers constitute 75 percent of chronic bronchitis cases, and there is no doubt Smoking is the chief cause of the condition.

Acute bronchitis usually lasts about ten days. If bronchitis lasts for three or more months, chronic bronchitis has developed. Excessive bronchial mucous secretions are common, producing a chronic or recurrent Cough.
