Kidney stone

DESCRIPTION

Kidney stones form when Calcium salts and uric acid in the kidneys crystallize. The only way to remove the stone, short of invasive surgery, is to "pass" it - allowing the stone to travel out of the body through the urethra. This condition often brings considerable Pain.

Ample urination, as well as Calcium, carbohydrate and protein metabolism therapies are required to prevent stone formation in susceptible individuals.

One in ten men and one in twenty women experience kidney stones during their lifetimes. While other diseases can cause kidney stones, many cases are the result of vitamin deficiencies. Prevention represents the only absolute treatment for kidney stones.
