Dolomite

DESCRIPTION

A rock name for a French geologist, dolomite consists of Magnesium carbonate and Calcium carbonate. Dolomite is a naturally derive form of calcium. It has become a popular natural treatment for Osteoporosis.


SUPPLEMENTAL USES

Osteoporosis:
Dolomite is commonly taken by women to help prevent bone loss. It provides magnesium, calcium, and other trace minerals necessary for maintaining healthy bones.


SAFETY

There is concern that naturally derived samples may contain high amounts of lead. Lead concentrations should not exceed 2 ppm. Avoid long-term use to minimise exposure to heavy metals. (2)


INTERACTIONS AND CONTRA-INDICATIONS

There are no known drug interactions or contra-indications.
