Manuka Honey has antimicrobial/antiviral activity that has shown to be effective in the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial/viral infections including:

Intestinal/Gut Infections

Has been shown to be effective against more than 250 clinical strains including MRSA, MSSA, VRE, MRAB Helicobacter Pylori etc Provides a moist wound environment.

Can provide fast, effective autolytic debriding action for the removal of slough and necrotic issue in an antimicrobial environment.

Can rapidly remove malodour.

It is non adherent which can reduce trauma and pain during dressing changes. Has been found to have useful levels of antioxidants.

Stimulate the immune system and helps the body deal with infections.

Precautions:

Before taking Manuka Honey, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any honey based products. Manuka Honey has not been studied for safety or use during pregnancy. However persons should exercise the same level of caution as using honey as a food substance during pregnancy. It is not known if Manuka Honey passes into breast milk. Babies under one year old should not be fed Manuka Honey if sterility of the product cannot be assured.

Side Effects:

Serious allergic reactions to Manuka Honey are unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
