Lyme Disease

DESCRIPTION

A bacterial ailment transmitted by a deer tick, lyme disease produces a recurrent inflammatory Infection, also known as lyme Arthritis.

The disease usually affects large joints, including the knees and TMJ (Tempero-Mandibular Joint). The characteristic Skin eruptions (erythema chronicum migrans) indicate exposure. There may also be general malaise, reminiscent of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
